Welcome to the AFP Northwest Ohio Chapter!

Our mission is to foster the development and growth of fundraising professionals throughout northwest Ohio and promote high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. We do this by providing outstanding professional development programs, career-growth options, mentoring partnerships, access to resources, and opportunities to network and get involved in our philanthropic community.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be a world-leading AFP chapter of our size by sustaining an inclusive community of fundraising professionals, offering best in class member services and advancing the culture of philanthropy across our service area.

Chapter Diversity Statement

We believe diversity and inclusion in fundraising is achieved by ensuring we intentionally create a respectful and welcoming environment that is open to all and is representative of a broad spectrum of experiences, perspectives, opinions and cultures.

Membership Scholarships

The AFP Northwest Ohio Chapter (AFPNWO) is committed to advancing the careers of fundraisers in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. To that end, it has partnered with the Toledo Community Foundation to fund the cost of membership dues to AFP International (AFPI) of eligible fundraisers for one year. A second half-year scholarship is available to members who demonstrate strong financial need after their first scholarship.

The scholarship award covers the membership dues for one year to the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

The next application deadline is June 30th. Click here for eligibility criteria and additional information, including the application.

Lead Chapter Sponsor

Toledo Community Foundation

Our thanks to our lead chapter sponsor, The Toledo Community Foundation. Because of their generosity, the AFP Northwest Ohio Chapter is able to provide FREE monthly webinars to all interested nonprofit fundraising professionals, board members, and volunteers. Normally, these webinars would cost $79 for AFP members and $99 for non-members, but thanks to the Toledo Community Foundation, our chapter is able to provide AFP's Webinars free to our members and to the community members-at-large.

In addition, the Foundation also funds our Membership Scholarship program. We are grateful for their investment in ethical and effective fundraising in our community.

Webinar Location Sponsor
